Puerto Rico faces a paradox: despite our strong culture of community, social isolation and loneliness are a reality for many. Recent studies in Puerto Rico show that 35% of adults and 63.5% of middle and high school students experience moderate to severe loneliness. These alarming numbers call us to action, as isolation and loneliness impact our health. Stronger social connections can help reduce the risk of certain physical and mental health conditions.

Fundación Triple-S has taken on the task of raising awareness and fostering understanding on the issue, because it’s time to build a Puerto Rico where everyone feels connected and supported.
